Recent advances in architected cementitious materials
Our recent publications extend architected cementitious materials toward sensing, energy harvesting, impact mitigation, and improved structural performance.
Three 2026 highlights are:
- Compliant auxetic cementitious composites for piezoresistive sensing, which combines auxetic deformation with self-sensing behavior.
- Confinement mechanisms governed by stiffness contrast in auxetic cementitious composites, which identifies stiffness contrast as a governing design parameter.
- Bayesian-driven modulation of recoverable strain in compliant auxetic cementitious composites for optimal energy harvesters, which applies Bayesian optimization to the design of cementitious energy harvesters.
The publications page now includes our complete 2025-2026 journal output, covering 3D-printed reinforcement, cyclic and impact performance, anisotropy mitigation, frost damage, and multifunctional cementitious composites.
